about me

stack of porcelain platesI make porcelain pots, thrown on the wheel, then glazed in rough glazes or with writing on. I stack them, group them, sometimes arrange them in boxes, sometimes in tombs – see my website for many more pictures.

I sell in galleries around the UK, there’s a list here.

You can email me if you want to buy direct from me – I’ll send some images of work available.

pots in a tomb at West Norwood CemeteryI  also make site specific installations, like this one at West Norwood Cemetery, part of The Curious Trail. I like using material culture to get people interested in history and archaeology. I teach pottery at Parade Mews Pottery in Tulse Hill, and run glaze workshops around the country.

Before this, I was an engineer and then a knowledge and change consultant. So I can’t help but want to think about why and how making works. And why it’s important too.Conwy

I live in Chiswick, my studio is in Tulse Hill near Brixton, all in London. I am originally from Conwy, North Wales and hope still to one day go back.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my website. I applaud your decision to follow your passion. Working out the questions in your mind with the abilities of your hands–now that is creativity in motion.

      • That seal’s great great grandchildren are all over the place – to say nothing of a bunch of upstart beavers (although these are very good at dodging Louise). Islay’s one of my favourite places in the universe, and I’ve been there more times than I can remember – so it’s a racing certainty that we went there.
If you like gin try the Botanist, from Bruichladdich – it might remind you of Islay.
