Sigrid Holmwood at Upton House

Tom Freshwater from Trust New Art talked about the National Trust’s work with artists to enhance the spirit of place. In this video, Sigrid Holmwood, at Upton Park, re-makes painting there, using traditional methods and costume too. Great art and deeply affecting too.

Another great speaker Lindsay Seers was inspiring in letting us live through with her the way she creates connections between her own obsessions and a particular site.

A very inspiring day.
More about unravelled at the Vyne in a previous blog.

In other news, more work’s going out every week, this week to New Ashgate Gallery, in Farnham. I can’t linger there, or I spend my hard-earned on more of their fantastic ceramics and other crafts. They are really good pickers!
