I delivered some work to Whichford pottery, north of Oxford, this week. The snow really set in on the high ground, scary but beautiful.
It’s fantastic to see people making pots as a business as well as an art-form: from raw clay to fired pots, thirty people working together. My work is in the Octagon gallery, part of the complex, where they have other ceramics, textiles and tools… They have some great work there, like Lisa Hammond and Joanna Howells. They’re showing a lot of my work there, including text pieces like ‘Dinogad’s speckled petticoat’. It’s snowing in London too, reminding me of Pissaro’s pictures of Bedford Park where I live. Not a day for the car!
