the craft of writing

I’m still learning how to write: this week at the Craft Study Centre in Farnham. In that oblique way, the seminar made me look harder at the wonderful Lucy Rie and Alison Britton pots there, the unintended effect of thinking about writing…

Somehow a interest in writing brings together people I want to talk to and know better – this happened at the AAH art of writing event too. Another example of obliquity or perhaps a common underlying interest in reflection and border-crossing?

I’d like to pass on Sara Roberts’ recommendation of great writing about craft:From Leach to Etsy by Martina Margetts. Great ideas too.
