Getting ready for new London craft show: MADE London

MADE London‘s coming up fast, so I’ve been making and worrying. New shows mean new spaces, so I’ve been working out what furniture to take. The space looks absolutely great though, and it’s quite relaxing just looking at it. I’m upstairs in the galleries – stand 46.

I have free “Two for One” tickets, by the way, which I can email you if you want one – carysdavies(at symbol) fastmail(dot)fm.  (This spelling out of addresses is to fox spammers.) Say if you would like to go on my mailing list too. Or just put it in a comment below!

I’m taking some of my new calligraphy as well as porcelain this year, both on paper and on porcelain. I’m currently experimenting with porcelain paper-clay, so there may be a hybrid too.

There’s no ‘Origins’ show this year – which used to be the prime London selling craft show – but MADE London’s not really a replacement: it’s run by artists and makers, who also run the Brighton art and craft fairs, so will have a very different feeling I think. There are great talks to: I recommend Tanya Harrod on Michael Cardew.
